General Eduardo Pazuello is a Brazilian Army General and the former Minister of Health of Brazil. He was appointed to the role on September 16, 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil. Pazuello has been criticized for his handling of the pandemic, particularly for his slow response and lack of action to control the spread of the virus. He has also faced scrutiny for promoting unproven treatments and for his delayed acquisition of vaccines. In March 2021, Pazuello was replaced as Minister of Health by Marcelo Queiroga.
